The Listening Shell Workshop
Return to Your Authentic Self
What becomes possible when you feel truly heard, without needing to explain, justify, or prove yourself?
How often do you listen with the intention to understand, rather than respond? And how often do you offer yourself that same quality of attention?
The Listening Shell is a 90-minute experiential workshop exploring the power of active listening, authentic self-expression, and meaningful connection.
Through symbolic storytelling, guided reflection, and a sharing circle, you'll discover how listening to yourself and others can create space for greater awareness, self-trust, and belonging.
At the heart of this experience is a simple practice: listening without judgment, interruption, advice, or the need to fix.
When we feel genuinely heard, we have an opportunity to explore our experiences without pressure to change them. And when we extend that same presence to others, we begin cultivating relationships where authenticity and difference can coexist.
Your Journey Through the Workshop
1. Arriving & Creating Our Shared Space
We'll begin by gathering around a shared altar, contributing a small personal object that represents something meaningful to you. Together, we'll establish a space of confidentiality, choice, mutual respect, and intentional listening.
2. Grounding & Coming Into Presence
Through a gentle guided meditation, you'll be invited to settle into your body, connect with the present moment, and begin turning your attention inward.
3. The Listening Shell: A Symbolic Story
You'll hear an original short story exploring inner knowing, conditioning, and the courage to trust your own experience. Allow the imagery to awaken your curiosity about what authenticity means to you.
4. Silent Reflection & Self-Discovery
Through optional journaling or quiet meditation, you'll explore the beliefs, expectations, and experiences that may be limiting your authentic expression.
What part of yourself might be asking to be heard?
5. The Sharing Circle: The Power of Active Listening
We'll gather to explore a central question:
What do you perceive as a barrier to being your most authentic self?
Each person will have the opportunity to speak and be witnessed without interruption, judgment, interpretation, or advice.
You'll experience both sides of intentional listening: the freedom of being heard and the practice of offering another person your undivided attention.
6. Gratitude & Integration
We'll close by acknowledging what has been discovered, expressed, and witnessed. You'll reclaim your personal object as a symbolic reminder of your experience and something meaningful to carry forward.
The Invitation
You don't need to arrive with answers, share anything you're not ready to express, or leave having resolved every barrier.
Sometimes, the simple experience of being heard is enough to begin relating to yourself and others differently.
Approximately 90 minutes | Sharing is always optional.
Bring a small object that holds personal meaning, something to contribute to our shared space and take home as a reminder of your experience.
Join the circle and discover what becomes possible when you truly listen.
